FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why should I choose Hayutin & Associates? Our talented team of tutors, coupled with close supervision and consistent communication with tutors, families and other members of a student’s support team, set us apart from other tutoring companies. Hayutin & Associates has an outstanding reputation for delivering quality instruction for over a decade. We have up to 50 active tutors, educational therapists, and reading specialists at any given time. All of our associates have their bachelor’s degree and over 50% have a master’s, PhD or teaching credential. The average age of our associates is 33. They stay in close contact with us for clinical supervision and administrative support. All associates have signed a contract that includes a client confidentiality clause and have passed a series of background checks. We first conduct an in-person or phone intake to ask you a series of questions about your child, his or her educational support needs and preferred days and times for sessions. Based on our discussion, we reach out to one or more associates who we sense will be a good match for your child. After we pair your child with a tutor, we share all relevant contact information between you and the associate. Then the tutor will call to make an introduction and confirm the first meeting time. Our office will follow up with you within 24 business hours of that first session to hear your feedback. Assuming the tutor is a match, you will make all future scheduling changes directly with that tutor; our office will then check in with you regularly to discuss your child’s progress. Further, we encourage our clients to contact us with any of their questions or concerns. We are always available to you by phone or email. This depends entirely on the specific student’s goals and expectations, number of subjects requiring support, student’s learning profile, family schedule and budget. Please call us to discuss our recommendations for your student. The length of tutoring sessions varies from student to student based on individual needs. Typically students book one or more regular weekly sessions ranging from one to two hours each session. We are here to assist your child as much or as little as your child requires. In order to facilitate that flexibility, our in-home tutoring clients do not commit to purchase a particular number of sessions and you or we may terminate the tutoring services at any time. Chemistry between a tutor and student is crucial to a successful tutoring program. While we carefully consider which tutor to pair with your child, we recognize that no tutor is the right match for every student. In the unlikely event that the first tutor is not connecting well with your child, we will gladly make a placement with another member of our team. In those rare cases where we don’t have the right match for a given student, we gladly make a referral to a colleague we know and trust. Ultimately, we want every student to forge a great connection with the right tutor. Our billing process is explained in detail in our company guidelines, which can be viewed here. We bill every two weeks for services already rendered. You pay us and we pay the tutors. We have a credit card only policy. You will be mailed a copy of your paid invoice with your credit card receipt attached. Please choose educational therapy to learn more about this service.
