We provide full homeschool support in all subjects during a time of transition (quarter, semester or full year) to a wide spectrum of students with varied needs: competitive athletes, artists, students on medical leave, those who are not socially or academically happy in a mainstream school setting, or those with emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse issues. We work closely with students in need of academic credits using accredited distance learning programs. These degree programs work well for students who:
- Need to repeat one or more classes to improve their GPA
- Require academic credits in transition between schools
- Elect to graduate from an accredited distance learning high school
We oversee a student’s entire home schooling program from start to finish, from guidance about course selection, to choice of tutors and supervision of the tutoring team. We also coordinate all the administrative aspects of the student’s home school program: arranging schedules, maintaining contact with tutors, overseeing submission of homework, administering exams, and interfacing with school staff and the student’s family—all to ensure every student stays on track to meet requirements and deadlines.

During a personal intake meeting, we will answer your questions about our program to help you make the very personal decision about whether independent study is right for your child. If our program is not a match for your needs, we are more than happy to discuss other options and provide you with outside referrals.
In our program, students have two teams of teachers--- one from a degree-granting institution and one from
Hayutin & Associates.
Team One: The accredited institution’s teachers are in charge of all assessment of the student’s work and retain complete grading authority. They do not technically “teach” any of the material.
Team Two: Our tutors provide engaging, one-on-one instruction for each subject in order to effectively and efficiently teach the material. This brings the curriculum to life.
For most students, a program requires 4-6 hours of one-on-one tutoring per subject, per week. It can be less for students who are organized and motivated enough to work on their own, but more hours may be required for those who take honors or AP courses, have learning differences, struggle to complete homework independently, or frequently need to cancel sessions.
We highly encourage all homeschool students to enroll in outside extracurricular activities for enrichment, social development and balance.
